Ventsy was born from a genuine love of celebrations, creativity, and supporting the incredible businesses that help bring special moments to life.

Before creating Ventsy, I spent years working in the events industry myself. I designed and installed balloon garlands and event decorations, offered hire items for special occasions, and sold party products online. I've packed orders late at night, managed shipping, coordinated bookings, answered endless enquiries, set up events, and experienced firsthand the excitement, pressure and passion that comes with running an event business.

But I'm not just a vendor — I'm also a customer.

I absolutely love celebrating life's special moments and creating memorable experiences for family and friends. Over the years, I've hired photographers, florists, entertainers, decorators, venues and countless other vendors for my own events. Like many customers, I've spent hours searching for the perfect businesses, comparing options, reading reviews, sending enquiries and trying to keep everything organised.

Having been on both sides of the industry gave me a unique perspective.

As a vendor, I understand the hard work that goes into building a business and finding quality customers. As a customer, I understand how overwhelming it can feel trying to find trusted vendors and coordinate all the moving pieces of an event.

But perhaps the biggest inspiration behind Ventsy came from another role I cherish most — being a mum.

As a mother of two beautiful daughters, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to juggle family life while running a small business. Many event vendors are parents, working around school drop-offs, sporting commitments, family responsibilities and the never-ending demands of daily life.

I remember trying to keep up with Instagram messages, Facebook messages, emails, phone calls, booking requests, invoices and customer questions coming in from every direction. Important enquiries could easily get buried, responses took longer than they should have, and valuable time was spent switching between platforms instead of focusing on customers, creativity and growing the business.

It felt like everything was everywhere.

And that's exactly what I wanted to change.

Ventsy was created to bring everything together in one place, making it easier for vendors to manage enquiries, bookings and customers without the stress of chasing messages across multiple platforms. Because when you're running a business and raising a family, your time, energy and sanity are incredibly valuable.

The event industry is also unlike almost any other industry.

Events are emotional. They're time-sensitive. They're highly detailed and constantly evolving. Trends can change overnight. Customers often have firm deadlines and high expectations because they're planning some of life's most important moments — birthdays, weddings, baby showers, engagements, corporate events and celebrations that can't simply be postponed.

My goal was to build a platform that genuinely supports both sides of the experience. A place where customers can discover amazing vendors with confidence, and where vendors can showcase their work, manage enquiries more efficiently, and connect with people who are actively planning events.
